IT IS PURE TORTURE going to an event titled “Bay to Barkers” when there is a clause in your lease stating “No animals of any kind shall reside on the property for any length of time.” Cry. So, much of this’ll pretty much be the same batch of pics I submitted to SFBG’s Pixel Vision, but I don’t care. Dogs are dogs are dogs, which is synonymous with awesome is awesome is I want them. Ooh and aww below:
“I gotta big stick.”
(Below) How can you not love these faces??
(Below, L to R) These two are true rarities: a Japanese mastiff (named Jube) and Tibetan mastiff (named I-Ching).
They hang out on their master’s property herding sheep. Luckiest (endangered!) dogs in the world.
(Below) Brendel convention!
(L) CHOW CHOWS ARE MY FLICKR CRACK.
It was also pretty hilarious how ambivalent these two were about all the obstacle courses. They were like “Tunnel? You want me to go through a tunnel? For a treat? What do you think I am? A chihuahua?”
(R) Chopper was one of the sweetest dogs at the event! He has three legs and gorgeous icy blue eyes. When I walked up to him, he sat and laid down so that I’d have easy access to rub his belly. Energetic and so sharp. I really wish I could adopt him.
If you’re looking, you can! NorSled.org (Please invite me over if you do. I’ll do SUCH a good job dogsitting him!)
(Below) This is technically not a good photo, but the dog on the right is hilarious.
His expression is that of utter repulsion.
Plus bat ears and a full-body tilt. Pure comedy.
(L) This dog is a mix of corgie, collie, and more! I don’t even know how that’s possible.
But his coloring makes me think of peanut butter and chocolate in vanilla ice cream…
(R) Lead dog Holly Go Lightly checks out Taylor, one of the dogs for adoption.
(Below) Baloo takes a break from sitting pretty.
PUPPIES. I like.
