So Billiam and I have been in our new magical place of magic for almost two months, and when it comes to the obligatory housewarming party, we simply haven’t gotten our act together until now. On Saturday we’ll be opening our new home to the largest group of people it’s ever seen! (During our occupancy, anyway.)
As I’m an almost complete failure in the kitchen (We have learned that I can make good pork chops and apple sauce!) and Billiam is nearly completely distracted by this weekend’s 45th Annual Big Book Sale at Fort Mason, we are super lucky to have confectionarily (made that up) talented friends in our circle.
Among whatever other hearty delights our guests might contribute to the dessert potluck, Emily from Bite Size Cakes is going to be coming through with red velvet cakes and creme puffs! Emily is mother to the huuuuge toddler above (The picture was taken at his first birthday, but he pretty much doubles in size every week. You’ve probably also noticed that he is one of the most photogenic children in the whole entire world.), and the founder and master baker at Bite Size Cakes. Cupcakes are awesome, but cupcakes are more awesome when someone else brings them to you, hot and fluffy. Bite Size Cakes delivers cupcakes, and they are delicious.
I love the idea. And I love that Emily sometimes needs tasters for her new creations.
Even though it makes me feel kinda old and domestic, can’t wait for Saturday!
