Shame on me for not addressing Cambria’s food earlier. It’s got so much weekender foodie charm. Somebody save this town!!
The Brambles Dinner House – Recommended by Troy from the Cambria Palms, we booked a dinner at the most dinner house-y dinner house I’ve ever been to. Our waittress was a young (“Which white wine would you recommend?” “Well, I’m not old enough to drink alcohol, but…”) and incredibly professional. With a touch of pink hair. I wanted to pluck her from her small seaside town and book her a modeling job somewhere. Her service was fantastic, but what I really want to discuss is the bread. The first bread they served was onion and blue cheese. Amazing. The second bread they served was something wheat molasses. Also amazing. With honey butter. How I wish you could enjoy it, too.
In the latest Douchebag Report, I was caught completely off guard when I visited the Brambles’ website only to see a huge “THE BRAMBLES RESTAURANT IS CLOSED” scrawled across the site. In the second of two moments where I’m grateful for Yelp, I’ve learned through a Miss “Sue Z.” that:
UPDATE: sandra k. was nice enough to message me and tell me the former owners are screwing the new owners by not allowing them to use their website. (the website that says, CLOSED and not REOPENING…assholes). place is still up and running. : ) everything is right in the world again.
Wow. See what happens when small town people get small town petty? Moving on…
Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill – Pacific Coast Toast, mufuckahzzz! Served with complimentary champagne during brunch! Eat outside, because otherwise, what’s the point?
