Despised as much as she is adored in the Net-democratized fashion world, Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes is kind of like Madonna. Icon. The root of a lot of envy. It’s not just her closet that’s amazing, but it’s also her status as a Southern debutante. I’m not so impressed or put off by her Urban Outfitters collection. It’s her lineage that irks me – her mom Judy Aldridge is a designer and reminds me of the days when I used to be mad at my parents because they were not famous actors and thus I could never be a famous actress. Heritage is such a bitch, ain’t it? Especially when you don’t have any. (Or to put it more rightly: the type you want.)
Hate that I love her shoes. These three pairs make me consider working out regularly:
Jane is probably the only blogger I check out who uses TypePad, but I guess you shouldn’t expect anything better from someone who lives in Texas.
