We spent the weekend in Milsap (Not “Mil-slap.”), where I had the time of my life jumping from cliffs, swinging from ropes, and hopping from rock to rock. So much fun! (Minus the bugbites that continue to persist and the bugs that kept flying onto my lips. I’m not a hater, I’m just not into making out with bugs. Not my type.) One day, I’m gonna jump from the bridge into the water below, but since just jumping from the rope swing left me with a purple sausage for a ring finger, for now I’ll just make due with photos from the trip. And regrets about my almost-winning hands at Monopoly Deal.
What a sight to wake up to!
To get to the Berry Creek campsite, you have to drive
for about an hour through dust, rough, and tumble.
If I were a panda, this sight might make me hungry.
My favorite pic of the weekend.
Manzanitas are called stripper trees because they…
More Manzanita! All of these photos were taken at our campsite.
Prettiest little sink in the world!
Mmm, country potatoes cooked in bacon grease…
My camera couldn’t capture the magic of
my second (first one fell to the ground)
mountain man pie:
apple pie filling and cream cheese.
Also, some asshole squirrel tricked me into thinking it was a porcupine. Talk about disappointment.
