Bill is exhibiting at CTN Animation Expo for its third year this weekend, and I’m looking forward to joining him! (Note: My title is no longer “Booth Babe.”) It’s the second time he’s showing off M is for Mutt, and hopefully the book’s wordsmith, Ian, will be around, too. It’s also holiday greeting card time, and I may or may not have lended (WordPress tells me “lended” is not a word. Whatever.) my creative juices to one of the designs in this post. (Guess which one. [Hint: It is very fabulous.])
CTN is a highly concentrated group of folks in the animation industry. While it’s not intended to be as public-facing as the Comic-Cons, it is refreshing and often really enlightening be surrounded by highly experienced and qualified individuals. Who knew my childhood dependency on all things animated and cartoony didn’t have to be forgotten in my adult life? Grateful.
If you’re in or around Burbank, Animation Capital of the World, stop by Table T-71 and visit Flimflammery! I hear it’s rainy in Southern California this week, but that’s all the more reason to gather inspiration indoors.
